WR Roger’s Staff and Students:
W.R. Rogers Center will be closed the remainder of the school year. Students please continue to correspond with your teachers concerning your classroom assignments.

As we all know, the COVID-19 outbreak continues to disrupt and redefine our daily lives throughout the world, causing us to face turbulent times head on. However, in these times of uncertainty, we at W.R. Rogers will continue our commitment to provding holistic support for our students.  
Any questions you may have regarding orientation, please contact Mrs. Slay-Taylor at shtaylor@richland2.org. All other questions please contact the on -call administrator Mr. Cunningham at bcunningham@richland2.org.

As of April 7, 2020  Administrators will no longer be available on-site Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the W.R. Rogers Center as the building will be closed until April 30th. Students please continue to correspond with your teachers concerning your classroom assignments.

During this unprecedented time, we’ve made available an administrator during the hours of 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from March 16 – March 31, 2020.

What a way to start the new year with Mike Fox, Vice President of Outreach at SC Student Loan. Mike provided information to our students on financial aid, scholarships, grants, etc. Our students were engaged and excited to learn about the various resources afforded to them. They left orientation excited, informed, empowered and looking forward to continuing their educational pursuits. Thank you Mike for your dedication and commitment in assisting our students!!

Nia Watts, Admissions Counselor with Midlands Technical College, presented an Information Session for our new orientation students! Our students were excited about the new opportunities afforded to them, the least of which was free on the spot registraton. I am excited to share that everyone registered today, and they are excited about starting classes at MTC soon! Way to go students!! Thank you Nia for your undaunting support!!

ECPI University w/ Brandalyn Harper, Freshmen Admission Presenter and Professor, spoke with our students about new opportunities and the road to success! She shared the many programs ECPI has to offer and ellaborated on staying focused and disciplined. Our students were very inquisitive, and I admire their tenacity in building their future goals. Thank you Ms. Harper for supporting our students' efforts!

Verizon w/Charles Kearse and Foresight w/Devina Codes visits WR Rogers to give a school-wide Information Session on the Principles of Success and the importance of "Branding Yourself". The session encompassed a wide variety of topics, such as: Interviewing Tips, Resume Writing, Self Presentation, and Interviewing Attire. The skills students learned provided valuable insights for their career readiness! Our thanks to Verizon and Foresight for their valuable input!!
