High School Equivalency Program

The W.R. Rogers Adult, Continuing and Technology Education Center offers GED classes for out-of-school adults. The General Educational Development (GED) program is an alternative for earning a South Carolina High School credential. 
The GED Test covers the following subject areas:
     Language Arts (Reading/Writing)
     Social Studies  
All students wishing to enter a GED preparation class are required to complete an initial assessment (TABE) and attend an orientation session before beginning class. Classes begin every six weeks.

 AM classes: Monday-Thursday 8:30AM - 12:10PM
 PM classes:  Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM


No Enrollment Fees: All GED Classes are free

Walk-In Registration for classes occurs Monday through Friday 8:30 AM- 4:00 PM at the W.R. Rogers Center, 750 Old Clemson Road, Columbia, SC

As announced in December, Richland Two schools have temporarily shifted to eLearning for all students from Jan. 4–15, 2021. This means all students will participate in eLearning following their school’s current bell schedule.

The district will observe the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. In-person instruction for students who selected classroom communities or hybrid models for Phase 2 will resume on Jan. 19, 2021.
