Who We Are
Our mission is to provide transportation safely to and from school for all students eligible for transportation. The Department of Transportation provides support for the following services:
- To and from school (eligible students)
- Field trips
- Special Services
- After school programs
- Summer school programs
What We Do
The Richland School District Two Transportation Department operates 103 route buses on 624 bus routes to provide more than 10,250 students transportation each school day. Richland District Two school buses travel more than 9,876 miles each day (over 1.7 million miles a year). A wide range of extra-curricular activities and athletic teams are transported on the district's activity vehicles and school buses, bringing the annual number of miles driven to well over 1.9 million.
The district has three transportation hubs: Killian, Richland Northeast, Support Service (includes Special Needs), which covers the entire district.
