SVH Air Force JROTC won the “2011 Terry Sanford High School Invitational Bulldog Drill Championship” in Fayetteville, North Carolina, November 19, 2011. The Vikings defeated 22 Air Force JROTC high schools throughout the state of North Carolina to claim the “Bulldog Classic Drill Meet Overall Grand Championship”. Spring Valley alumnus Kate Niehaus, currently studying biomechanics at Stanford University, named a Rhodes Scholar. Kate is one of only 32 American students who have achieved this prestigious recognition, and as a result, she will have the opportunity to study at Oxford University in England.
