Graduation Information
Richland Two's high school graduation will be held June 1, 2012, at the Carolina Coliseum, located at 701 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Spring Valley graduation ceremony is at 8:30 a.m. For more information, click on selections below.
Graduation Etiquette - In order to provide a ceremony that will properly honor graduates, we respectfully request that graduates and their prospective guests review the following district guidelines:
Guests should plan to arrive at the Coliseum at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to allow ample time to be seated.
Balloons are not permitted.
All guests, including infants, must have a ticket for admission.
Noise-making devices will not be permitted. Security staff will enforce this provision.
Large bags will not be allowed into the Coliseum, and all individuals entering the building are subject to search.
Flower bouquets and other floral arrangements will not be allowed into the Coliseum. Flowers brought onto the concourse will be required to be check in and will be returned after the conclusion of the commencement exercises.

SVH Vikings' JROTC Drill Team wins the 2012 Seventy First High School 34th Annual Red & White All-American Classic Drill Championship. The Vikings won 11 trophies, including 4 First Places, 4 Second Places, and 2 Third Places.

SVHS Spanish Students win a total of 37 Medals and Honorary Mentions in the 2012 National Spanish Exam.

Two Viking students rank in the 2012 Clemson Calculus Challenge at Clemson University. David Qu ranked 1st on written exam and Abhinav Gianey ranked 2nd.

Chief Perry Langston selected to augment the HOLM Center Curriculum Staff to serve as the subject matter expert and seminar advisor/instructor for the 2012 academic instruction and orientation phases of the JROTC

Sarah "Kitty" Tryon, a 2008 graduate of Spring Valley and a double major in neuroscience and German studies received the 2012 J. William Fulbright Scholarship. Kitty graduates this spring, and will serve as an English teaching assistant in Germany for the 2012-2013 academic year.
