 Viking University - A Night for Parents 

September 21st at 6pm 

The Career Specialists have planned a night to provide parents with vital information to assist in their student's high school career and in planning for the future.  Parents will be able to attend three 20 minutes sessions covering  various topics. For additional information and to register, click here.

 The Viking band is one of only two bands from across the nation invited to perform at the 34th Annual USC Band Clinic to be held February 17-20, 2011.  (See More)  

 

 

 Michelle Spigner    Michelle Spigner, AP Biology Teacher, received the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, along with a $10,000 prize

Spring Valley for the third year, is named by Newsweek as one of America's Best High Schools.  The ranking is based on the number of students taking and passing AP exams.

Dr. Michelle Wyatt has been chosen to lead Spring Valley’s Discovery and Exploration Math and Science Magnet Programs.  Dr. Wyatt received a B.S. in chemistry from Furman University and her Ph. D. in chemistry from California Institute of Technology. She performed post-doctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Wyatt brings to the Spring Valley Magnet Programs a love for students, a love for teaching, and a strong knowledge of science and math.
