 Leaping Leopard News
September 16, 2009Students at Longleaf will have the opportunity to take the EXPLORE Test on September 29-30, 2009. EXPLORE is a curriculum-based assessment designed to help 8th grade students gain an understanding of their readiness for college, make the most of their opportunities in high school and beyond, and guide them as they start thinking about future educational and career planning. Like all assessment offered by ACT, EXPLORE is based on the belief that young people - and their parents, teachers, counselors and school administrators - will make more productive plans and decisions if they have organized, relevant information when they need it most.
Students will need to bring 2-3 NO.2 pencils and a calculator. A basic four-function calculator will be fine. If your child does not have a calculator, one will be provided.
If you have concerns or questions, please contact Barbara Jenkins, Longleaf Test Coordinator: (803) 691-4870 extension 31509 or email bjenkins@richland2.org

Longleaf was selected as the middle school winner of the Richland Two Transportation Department Award for prompt attention to bus discipline, collaboration with bus drivers, and overall support of transportation. Administrators and staff do a great job working with the bus drivers to ensure our children get home safely.
