prospective employers

YES—the Youth Employment Service—is a service of the School-to-Work office. We help put bright, ambitious Richland Northeast teenagers in touch with busy people like you who want an extra hand after school, in the evenings, on weekends, or during the summer. Find out more.

FYI

Last year RNE students were employed by such organizations as Riverbanks Zoo, McDonald's, Sparkle Car Wash, Fort Jackson Commissary, Coldstone Creamery, Pet Smart, Car Quest, Food Lion, Bi-Lo, Chick-fil-A, Chili's, Eckerds, Dollar General, and Limited, Too.

In addition, 70 RNE students completed internships of 200 hours or more for high school credit.

job shadowing

Richland Northeast students are also actively involved in job shadowing. During the past school year, more than 100 employers offered students the chance to spend a day at their business observing someone who was performing the career in which the student had an interest.

If you would like to provide a job-shadowing experience for a student, please contact Michael Sumter, Work-Based Learning, at 699-2800 ext. 2803.
