How do I find newcomer and military information?

Richland School District Two is a world-class suburban school district located in the midlands region of South Carolina, and is one of the state’s fastest-growing districts. Richland Two has garnered national and state recognitions for academic and overall excellence, including National Blue Ribbon Schools, Palmetto’s Finest Awards, Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards, Exemplary Writing Awards and Red Carpet Awards. A total of 499 Richland Two teachers are National Board Certified, the most in the state.

More than 24,000 students are currently enrolled, including a mix of ethnic cultures and socio-economic strata, with more than 60 percent minority representation and a growing Hispanic population. The district is bordered by schools in Fairfield County, Kershaw County and Richland School District One. The district serves Fort Jackson, the nation’s largest military training facility. Students of military families attend Dent Middle School and Richland Northeast High School. Expanded Choice Options are also available, giving students an opportunity to attend any middle or high school in the district provided there is space to accommodate.
