Community Relations and Partnerships

Who We Are

 

The Community Relations Services and Partnerships Department is a branch of the Planning Division. The mission of Community Relations and Partnerships is to engage the district’s comprehensive communications and marketing program to foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the community.

What We Do

  • Recruit business and community partners and volunteers and provide training to facilitate the Partners in Education and Volunteer programs.
  • Assist district schools and programs with marketing and community engagement efforts.
  • Direct the distribution of community fliers.
  • Organize district recognition events.
  • Build capacity and provide support for school foundations.
  • Cultivate community involvement in naming new schools and school facilities.
  • Serve as a liaison to internal organizations, including the Teacher Forum, the Faculty Advisory Council, the Richland Two Education Foundation and school-supporting organizations (PTO/PTA).
  • Administer the district’s grants program.
  • Oversee the District’s mail room.

The Community Relations team members have expertise in marketing, grants development, journalism, public involvement, grants development, events planning, graphics design and photography.
