Conder Chess Academy

Conder students can join the chess academy in the spring. Students can learn the basics of chess up to advanced moves and strategies. Meetings are in the afternoons once per week starting in February through April. A fee is charged which covers snacks for players and a chess tournament. Energy Patroller
Students work to help promote energy saving ideas.

Post Office
Students from grades 4 - 5 collect, sort and deliver mail from the school mail boxes to their customers within the school. Contact Carmen Norell for more information.

Shining Stars~ After Care
After-school child care is available on Conder's campus.

Singing Stars~ Chorus
Students from grades 3 - 5 put together special performances for the school and community. Contact Linda Steffey for more information.

Math MAGIC (MATH AND GAMES Integrated Curriculum)
This club meets once a week to engage in fun and exciting math games that reinforce math skills being taught during the regular school day. Actuaries from Blue Cross Blue Shield and members of local community organizations serve as mentors to the students in this club. For more information contact Tammer Roberts.
Morning Math Madness
This program meets Mon-Fri from 7:45-8:15. The program is open to 5th grade students who would like extra help in math. The participating students practice basic math facts and are given guided assistance on the math concepts being taught in their regular math class. For more information contact Tammer Roberts.

 

Strings
Students in grades 1st through 5th may sign up for strings if interested at the beginning of the school year. In strings class, students learn how to play the violin. All students perform will have the opportunity to perform. Intermediate and Advanced students put together special school and community concerts. For more information contact Stacy Wiley.
Conder Elementary Dance Company is a performance group that consists of 3rd, 4th, 5th graders. These students rehearse during and after-school for upcoming performances in the community.
