Friday, January 28 at the Village at Sandhill — Two Events!
If you missed the Palmetto Center for the Arts (PCA) Theatre's 10th Anniversary Show in November, here's your chance to see it! The performance will be at 6 p.m. in the Community Room. The celebration will feature a collection of the some most notable PCA Theatre performances, including "Les Miserables," "CATS," "You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown" and "Little Shop of Horrors" and other past productions, as well as two selections which were nominated to attend the 2010 International Thespian Festival in Lincoln Nebraska. Along with the cast of over 25 current students, some of the programs’ alumni will be returning to reprise their former roles.
Stay a little while longer for a concert with nationally known folk singer/songwriter Danielle Howle at 9 p.m. at Wild Wing Cafe.
Saturday, January 29 at Richland Northeast High School
For the crafty at heart, there will be a Collage Creations workshop with internationally recognized water color painter and artist Toni Elkins. Darion McCloud of Trustus Theatre and NiA Theatre Company will rivet the little ones during storytime. Book lovers will find titles from recent bestsellers to classics at the Richland County Public Library used book sale. Put your high school and college-aged children on the Path to Financial Empowerment through a session with author and financial consultant Karen Jenkins. Learn about the efforts to build several schools in Sudan from former "lost boy of Sudan" James Lubo Mijak, who has started Raising Sudan a school building initiative and project of non-profit organization Mothering Across Continents.
